Abstract: One new marine harpacticoid copepod, Paralaophonte livingstoni n.sp., is described. It has been collected only in the coastal zooplankton of the Marine Lion bay and north of the South Bay of the Livingston Island, Antarctic. The new species is characterized by the armament of P2 — P5 and furca. The affinities and systematic position of the new species are discussed.
