Photo exhibition 'Bulgaria—Taiwan: Travelling With The Birds'

30.9.2010 15:00

The exhibition presents the charm and variety of birds of Taiwan and Bulgaria. The visitors have the opportunity to indulge in the wonderful world of colours, sounds and shapes, revealing the lives of birds in two geographically so distant countries.

Author of the photographs from Taiwan is Mr K. K. Kuo — a businessman, naturalist and photographer. His collection arrives in our country thanks to Her Excellency Elizabeth Chu of the Taipei Representation in Athens.

The Bulgarian participation in the exhibition is a result of thematic photo contest of the Bulgarian Society for Protection of Birds. During the official opening, Ms Elizabeth Chu presented the awards to the winners.

— First prize — Ivaylo Zafirov, for the photograph 'Wings', participation in Bird Fair in Taiwan;

— Second prize — Hristo Peshev, for the photo 'Pelicans', photo-tour in the Eastern Rhodopes;

— Third prize — Borislav Borisov, for the photo 'Black and white', issue of 2011 calendar with his photos.

During the exhibition the visitors will be able to vote for one of the photographs, and the author will receive the Audience award — an Olympus camera.
