Checklist of the Phoridae (Diptera, Aschiza) of the Balkan Peninsula countries

Abstract: A total of 295 species of the family Phoridae (Diptera) belonging to 24 genera are presented from Balkan Peninsula countries, of which one genus (Stichillus) with one species is newly recorded from the region and two species are deleted from the list. Due to more intensive research, the largest number of species has been reported from Bulgaria so far – 230 of 23 genera.
