The species range includes South Europe, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia and Altai. In Bulgaria distributed in mainly isolated colonies. In mountainous areas located at an altitude of 1200 m (Belasitsa: Belasitsa Chalet) (Slivov & Nestorova, 1988: 117); in some localities common.
