The January 2026 issue has been published

The first issue of volume 48 of Historia naturalis bulgarica was published today, 5 January. It includes three articles.

The first, New records of arboreal beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera) from Bulgaria by Borislav Guéorguiev, Veselin Ivanov, Margarita Georgieva, Sevdalin Belilov, Denitsa Petrova and Georgi Georgiev, reports fifteen species of arboreal beetles new for Bulgaria.

The second, Centaurea kilaea – a new species to the flora of Bulgaria by Rossen Tzonev, Magdalena Valcheva, Chavdar Gussev and Bogdan Prodanov, presents Centaurea kilaea Boiss., found on the dunes at Veleka River Mouth, Southern Black Sea Coast, Bulgaria.

The third, Checklist of the Phoridae (Diptera, Aschiza) of the Balkan Peninsula countries by Mario Langourov, presents a list of 295 species of the family Phoridae from Balkan Peninsula countries.
